Achasan Mountain Haemaji (Sunrise Observation) Festival |

Achasan Hae-ma-ji Festival began on January 1, 2000 as an event commemorating the first year of the new millennium. Year by year, the festival gained rising interests and affection from the citizens, and it has established itself as an important cultural event of Gwangjin-gu. Achasan, which contains relics of Goguryeo kingdom, is the place where one can see sunrise earliest in Seoul. It has become a renowned place in Gwangjin-gu where visitors can appreciate beautiful scenery while feeling historic touch. Every year a grand gathering of festival is organized here, and participants can reconfirm their love to family and neighbors, also praying the New Year's health and wish. |
