Childrens Hall, together with the Childrens Grand Park, are the most important facilities for children. It is a kind of heaven just for children equipped with educational facilities and programs. Whereas the Childrens Grand Park is the area in which children can run and play, with such facilities as zoo, theme park and botanical garden, the Childrens Hall is focusing on educational facilities and programs. It is a comprehensive educational complex for the children.

Childrens Hall was opened in 1970, with the objective of fostering good environment for children to help develop knowledge, potential and personality. A variety of exhibitions and information materials have been provided, as well as beautiful surroundings. Originally, the hall was opened at Namsan Jung-gu of Seoul but later (in 1975) relocated to the present place of San 3 Neung-dong Gwangjin-gu, which is surrounded by green leaves and flowers.

Science sector in the Childrens Hall offers children new scientific information including books, so that children can study various subjects extensively and in depth.
The science sector is composed of basic science exhibition room, applied science exhibition room, universal science exhibition room, electronic science room, astronomical science room, science engineering room, computer room, and experimental room.
Culture sector in the Childrens Hall is the place where children can foster artistic capabilities. It contains an exhibition room where Olympic souvenirs donated by marathon god medalist Son Gi-jeong. It also has library, music room and rainbow theater where children movies are played. In addition, the sector is engaged in publication of child magazine 'Treasure Island' and various books like 'Daenggi'.

Geunhwawon, surrounded by green forest, is also an important facility of the Childrens Hall. It is a general life education center, where etiquettes and moral are taught to children so that they may lead righteous lives. Various learning opportunities such as dancing course and English course are offered to children. In addition, Geunhwawon organizes scientific camp, swimming camp and skate camp for the children.
The place is also offered to citizens for garden wedding ceremony, engagement ceremony or other important meeting.
Besides the above, the Childrens Hall runs kindergarten and childrens classroom as well as implementing childrens drawing tournament, scientific experimental tournament, astronomical searching tournament and scientific engineering tournament.

As described above, the Childrens Hall will make continued efforts to cultivate children's wisdom, ability, creativity, etiquette, moral and health by providing good surroundings and organizing educational programs. These facilities and programs of the Childrens Hall will bestow new and interesting experience to our children.
