Refund of a VCR with a bad screen |

Case: After using my new VCR for about 2 months, I began to see white lines and spots on the screen that I couldn't watch videos any more and the noise was also very bad. I took it to the service center, but the problem was still not fixed after it came back from the service center. So I requested a exchange to a new product. But the store told me that the VCR was damaged because of a bad tape I inserted, and refused my request although blank tapes I used for recording and tapes I played were all in good condition. Now I want the full refund of the VCR. Is it possible for me get the full refund?
Resolution: Pursuant to the Regulations of the Damage Compensation for Customers, it is possible to get exchange defected product with new products if problems occur while operating properly within the first month. But if problems occur more than one month after, yet within the product's warranty period, defects are to be repaired free of charge. Refund of a noisy running machine |

Case: After seeing an ad on a magazine, I ordered a running machine with 500,000 won. But it makes too much of noise. After 15 days from the purchase, I requested refund. But the store refused my request saying that there was nothing wrong with the product. So I attempted to cancel the order with the content proof on the 20th day from the day of the purchase, but the store once again refused to give refund saying that the product has already been in use.

Your case mentioned above implies that loud noise is heard while you are using the running machine. In addition, your case does not fall into a category that exchange is to be made if a product requires a major repair with in the first month according to the Regulations of the Damage Compensations for Customers. In conclusion, it can be said that your case be a situation that a simple defect occurred while operating the product properly, and you can only request repair service to relocate the running machine in the house or fastening bolts to reduce the level of noise. |

They say that you need to pay for the service fee because they do not have a

But they told me that my product has been discontinued, so no free service cannot be done since there is no part for my product. Therefore, it is illegal for the manufacturer to refuse to give the free service only because they do not have a part for the service. Customers can request exchange the defective product with a new one, or refund the full amount if manufacturers do not have parts for the service within the period of time that they are required to have parts for service and while the product service validation period is effective at the same time. If the warranty period has run out already, customers can receive the used sale price of the product plus 10% of the product's used sale price. |
