Terrapin that appeared in dream (the secret of Ttukseom) Premier Kwon Hong, a well renowned civil minister during the latter end of Koryo and initial stage of Chosun, was exceptionally talented in literature and a master of Àü¼­ and ¿¹¼­ . At one time, he was subjected to flogging and exile after the establishment of Chosun since he denunciated Cho Jun and Chung Do Jun, who are played crucial role in the establishment of Chosun during Koryo's King Gong Yang era, but he advanced to the governmental position once again during Jeongjong. Later, he made it to the ranks of ¿¹Á¶ÆǼ­ and ¿µµ·³çºÎ»ç as a relative of the royalty when his daughter was chosen as a wife of King Taejong, but he resigned soon after due to his advanced age.

When his position reached the top and when he became old, he enjoyed a relaxed, calm life, visiting hills and famous places every day.

In Korea , there are many stories that are told related to this terrapin.

In the book, ¡° daedongyaseoung , there is a following story regarding Kwon Heung and terrapin.

One day in summer, Kwon Heung who was sleeping dreams an exotic dream.

To this, Kwon Hong said in his dream,
"What should I do to save you."
When Kwon Hong asked again as such, the old man said,

"Premier Hong will surely ask you to go along. When you turn him down, he cannot go either. This is the grace of saving us." And then the old man disappeared suddenly.
Bit later, he was startled to the sound of someone knocking on the door suddenly, which woke him up. When he asked an old man who take cares him, he said

"Premier Hong wants you to accompany him since he plans to capture terrapin today and cook in the salgoji."
Kwon Hong thought about this, and was sure that the imploring old man who was crying must be terrapin, and he was impressed. Thus, he said

"I cannot go today because I am tired and have no energy", refusing the offer. And when he asked later on to an acquaintance whether Premier Hong went to capture terrapin or not, and the acquaintance told him that Premier Hong did not go either.
