Flood Prevention - Large-Scale Construction for Flood Control |

In order to prevent flooding in the Guui/Jayang areas, sewer pipes have been
constructed in such a way as to redirect the water flow from Acha Mountain to
Gwangnaru-gil. Also sewer pipes were laid at the ally of small restaurants at Guui 1-
Dong. The two construction projects addressed the root cause of flooding.
Sewer pipe construction at Junggok-Dong Road and Bokgaecheon Road were completed
to prevent flooding in Junggok-Dong. Also construction to expand and reinforce the
performance of Junggok flood pumping station has been completed.
The flood pumping station in Gwangjang-Dong playground and sewer pipes at
Gwangjang intersection have been installed.
The fundamental causes of flooding have been addressed by improving sewage culverts
in front of the Sejong Elementary School and at Gwangjang Intersection. |

creek.

Promoted 61 Action plans of Gwangjin 21, Model Environment City as part of the Council

Operated the department for express civil applications, department for addressing civil
appeals, Sunday civil service system, and on-site civil service team.
Introduced welfare card for the elderly, established computer rooms in centers for the
elderly, and ran 24-hour children nursery facilities.
Improved public health center, expanded health examination center and medical care
and enhanced health education.
Operated volunteer center: 100 programs, 14,000 volunteers, 250,000 annual recipients
of the service
