Friendly service and informatization is the new trends in local administration. A proactive administration that anticipates and satisfies the needs of Gu residents as well as being transparent will be executed. In addition, digitalization of administration will be strengthened and IT education for Gu inhabitants will be expanded to prepare for the information age.

Operate a department dedicated to the proliferation of friendly service to heighten the sense of kindness among Gu employees, outsource certain friendly services to private businesses and conduct surveys on the satisfaction level of residents regarding public service. All these continuous services will make Gwangjin-Gu the most friendly administrative autonomous district.

Public service that will impress Gu residents will be provided, including the Sunday civil service system, on-site civil service team window for processing civil applications, a department for express civil applications, 24-hour civil service department for parking, and pro bono legal services.
       
  Participatory, Transparent Public Administration
     
Public administration will be transparent, encouraging participation from Gu residents by implementing such measures as the Gwangjin-Gu residents' tour, survey on residents' satisfaction level regarding public services, system to grant rewards for feasible administrative suggestions, audit system overseen by Gu inhabitants, ombudsmen, Internet call center, Open System for addressing civil appeal and cyber audits.

Cyber public administration system will be expanded with reinforced on-line functions of the Gwangjin-Gu portal site, Internet civil application service, civil affair document issuing machine, cyber window for civil applications, G2B electronic procurement system, etc.

Computer education will be strengthened with informatization education operated by the Gu Office, computing room linking schools and businesses, and IT education at plazas for seniors.
